Privacy Policy

How KricSnap handles your stuff.

Plain English. No dark patterns. Last updated: 6 May 2026.

The short version

Your card is yours. Publish to the community wall when you want to be seen — never by default, never sold, never used to train AI models. Delete anytime.

What we collect

What we do NOT do

The community wall — opt-in only

When you render a card, you can choose to publish it to the global community wall. This is a deliberate checkbox, defaulted to ON because the wall is the heart of KricSnap — but it is your decision.

If you uncheck it, your card stays private — only people you share the link with directly can see it.

You can change your mind at any time: visit your card's share page (/c/<your-slug>) and unpublish from there, or delete the card entirely.

Children's privacy

KricSnap is for cricketers of all ages, but if you are under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), a parent or guardian should generate cards on your behalf. Parents — please supervise photo uploads of minors. Photos of children are stored under the same policy as adults: never used for training, never shared, deletable on request.

Your rights

Card lifetime

Anonymous cards (never claimed by email) expire after 30 days and are deleted automatically. Cards claimed with an email or WhatsApp number persist until you delete them.

Where data is stored

On a Hostinger VPS in the US. No data is replicated to third parties. Photos and metadata are stored as files; no third-party database service has access. If we change this in the future, we will notify you and give you a chance to opt out.

How we secure it

HTTPS everywhere. Server hardened (SSH key auth only). No passwords stored — when login launches, it will be magic-link only. Rate limits on render and upload endpoints to deter abuse.

Cookies

We store a small amount of state in your browser (your email after claim, your country/region preference, your last cricket name). No third-party cookies. No ad cookies. No tracking pixels.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes (e.g., add a third-party service, change how we use your data), we will notify users via the email they claimed cards with. If you don't want to accept the new policy, you can delete your data and stop using the service.
